The article examines how the process of working with visitors' memory in modern exhibition activities is organized using the example of the exhibition "Falconier. Architecture of Light". The choice of the source is motivated by the fact that the exhibits of the exhibition are everyday objects - Falconier glass bricks, which before the exhibition were valuable only to a limited circle of people - connoisseurs of the architecture and history of Moscow. The exhibition is designed to introduce the general public to this unique element of architecture, to draw attention to the problem of the destruction of glass bricks and the lack of their protected status. The author is interested in how the Falconier brick is endowed with meanings by the curators of the exhibition and how it is given value from the point of view of memory studies and the theory of imprinting. How, in order to create an active memory and, as a result, cultural memory, an appeal to the memory and emotions of visitors to the exhibition occurs. The findings of the study show that this process involves different types of experience that the visitor must experience - from visual to tactile, as well as various ways of prolonging memory, including souvenirs and the design of the museum space itself.
