The main content of the article is the analysis of the tourist route as a tool of cultural self-presentation of the region. The author pays considerable attention to the characterization of the unique national tour "The Call of Torama" in the Republic of Mordovia, considering the latter in terms of the translation of ethnocultural values and the formation of the brand of the region. This study is complemented by a review of the specifics of the ecological and gastronomic components of the route, involving visits to key attractions and participation in interactive practices. In conclusion, the potential of ethnic tourism in creating and promoting a positive regional image is revealed.
