The article compares the results of surgical treatment of patients with fractures of the proximal humerus. In 54 (39.7%) patients of the main group for osteosynthesis, new devices for internal osteosynthesis were used (Preliminary patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan for invention No. 14977 of 15.11.2004 "Device for osteosynthesis", Innovative patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan for invention No. 21913 dated 15.12. 2009 "Device for bone osteosynthesis"). In the main group of patients, the frequency of good outcomes (71.2%) was higher than in the control group (51.5%), i.e. almost in 1.4 times (p <0.001). Unsatisfactory results of treatment in the main group were 3.3 times less than in the control group (5.7% and 19.0%). The positive outcome was achieved using new device for osteosynthesis, which allowed for a stable synthesis, early rehabilitation of patients in comparison with the traditional method.
