Description of Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast and advantages over the radar surveillance

In connection with the increase in the number of aircraft in the difficult conditions of operation of services of air traffic there is a need to increase airport capacity. There is a need to modernize and improve existing surveillance facilities and introduce new ones, such as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcasting (ADS-B), capable of supplementing the quality, and subsequently replacing secondary radars. In paper there is suggested the automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast system, how it works, the creation of preconditions and advantages of this system.
