The dynamics and trends of crime in Russia in the end of XX century and beginning of XXI century

In 2016, Russia entered in a state of economic crisis and decline of standard of living. Such factors affect the state of crime. In 2014, reduction in the number of registered crimes has slowed greatly, and in 2015 the first time since 2006 was recorded an increase of this number. The article by comparing statistical data found that the number of registered crimes is not always a reliable indicator of the actual level of crime, since registration discipline can abruptly increase and decrease. Growth in the number of reported crimes in January-November 2015, has more to do with an increase in actual crime than the economic crisis.
