Vietnam became the member of WTO: some legal aspects and problems

After almost 12 years of negotiations, Vietnam officially became the 150th member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) at a special session of the General Assembly of the World Trade Organization on Nov 07, 2006. It brings a turning point but also poses many challenges for Vietnam. Vietnam is appraised as a country having the legal framework, which has the most complete legislation before joining the WTO, however, Vietnam still needs to have the changes in the perfecting the legislature to meet the needs and commitments of WTO.This writing focuses on analyzing the legal aspects of Vietnam's WTO accession, as well as offering outstanding issues, analyzing the reformed articlesin the legal thinking when Vietnam becomes a WTO member.
