Food industry and the role of functional products in food security of people

Due to changes in the food industry, related to innovative technologies for the production of food and the task to strengthen the food security of Russia without further deterioration of the labor force, it is necessary to focus the national food supply and food products that contribute to the improvement of the population. The paper presents the characteristics of socially and functionally oriented enterprises food industry, the main task of which is to provide comprehensive services for the supply of large contingents of specific consumers in special living conditions, issues of creating functional products for socially oriented enterprises supply.
