Institute of national sovereignty: a theoretical study

The article highlights a common characteristic of popular sovereignty, i.e. national independence in the Russian Federation, as well as the main forms of its realization. Explores the theoretical aspect of the Institute's independence from the perspective of its application in the political sphere of society with regard to historical development. Theoretical base of the article the basic provisions, the views and scientific theories of famous philosophers on this issue, as, Jacques – Jacques Rousseau, Charles – Louis de Montesquieu, Emmanuel – Joseph Siedem, John Locke.
