Economic security in the social sphere: today's threats and the need for a risk-based approach to its security

In the article the analysis of economic security indicators in the social sphere. It is concluded that the existing levels of poverty, unemployment, a sharp differentiation of the population by income level pose a serious threat to the success and long-term sustainable socio-economic develop-ment of Russia. It is proved that the most important means of ensuring and strengthening the economic security in particular economic security in the social sphere is to use a risk-based approach. It was found that the use of risk-based approach should include the formation of the coordination mechanisms of the totality of the measures and resources to ensure the economic security, as well as taking steps to reduce the risks threatening. If the risk analysis should be used a combination of methods of assess-ment, including the method of expert evaluations.
