The article examines the topical issues related to the specific features and legal conditions of the dismissal from service in the internal affairs bodies due to the absence of a law enforcement officer in the workplace without valid reasons for more than four hours during the specified working time. The author focuses the attention on the problem of determining the disciplinary liability and the grounds for its application, as well as the aspects within the framework of graduation on certain criteria, such as the industry branch and the legal relationship of the considered legal relations in the sphere of public service.
