Selected issues of counterterrorism in the Russian Federation

The article attempts to analyze the role of the state in the provision of anti-terrorist policy; analyzes the structure of the national system of counter-terrorism. The article analyzes the role of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the security of Russian citizens from the terrorist threat, the legal basis of state bodies conducting anti-terrorist policy in Russia. The authors concluded that individual decisions taken by public authorities in the field of counter-terrorism are long overdue. The authors identified shortcomings of the domestic anti-terrorist legislation and formulated proposals for its improvement. The analysis of the criminal policy of the state to combat terrorism; allowed the authors to determine the structure of the state system of counter-terrorism, which consists in a system of measures taken by the state and society to achieve anti-terrorist security. Ways of interaction of elements of anti-terrorist bezopsnost are revealed; regularities of their relations and communications are revealed.
