Clustering national economics within framework world economic mechanism

Modern realities of development of the global economic system determine the national economy is committed to active action of an adaptive nature in terms of accelerating the pace of implementation of scientific and technological developments in order to improve competitiveness. One of such tools, contributing to the attainment of competitive advantage and intensify the introduction of NBIC technologies ("technologies of the future") is clustering. The purpose of this study is to analyze the state of the national economy of Russia in the global economic system in order to enhance the process of clustering in leading industries. In the framework of this article, the author made an attempt to identify the key trends in the development of the world economy, investigated the methodological approaches of scientists regarding the competitiveness of the national economy, and also analyzed the competitiveness of Russia in the global arena in the context of the activation of the clustering process.
