The article considers competition as the main component of all economic relations. The essence of competition is that it creates conditions in which the buyer has many different options to purchase goods at favorable conditions for him, and the seller has many options to sell their products. The article considers the advantages and disadvantages of competition, as well as the categories of success as a driving force for the development of market economy entities and the basis for effective commercial activity.
