Problems of implementation of Basel IV recommendations in Russia

This article considers the main provisions of the current recommendations of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, as well as the difficulties of their implementation in Russian banking practice. The new recommendations for assessing the credit and operational risk of Basel IV require in some areas a radical change in the existing regulation, for which the Russian banking system is not ready, especially given the tightening of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia.
