Features of development and role of tourism in the economy individual countries

The article examines certain aspects of the development of the tourism sector of countries, in the gross domestic product of which it occupies more than 25%. An analysis of the arrivals of foreign tourists and their expenses has been carried out. The factors that determine the development of tourism are highlighted. The indicators of the development and competitiveness of tourism in Iceland, Georgia, Cambodia, Albania and Croatia are considered. Conclusions are made about the role of tourism in the economic development of countries with a high share of tourism in GDP.
