Theoretical aspects of foreign trade relations: the conceptual basis of innovation

The efficient organization of international trade relations is vital to every national economy. The conceptual approach to the problem is due to the specifics of the chosen theoretical platform. The problem of improving international trade relations is particularly acute. This article discusses the conceptual framework for updating foreign trade updates. The shortcomings of the theory of comparative advantages are demonstrated, the process of historical evolution of the concepts of foreign trade is analyzed. Also, particular attention is paid to the stages of the historical development of foreign trade. Based on the results of the study, a conceptual generalization was made in relation to the long-term perspective in the development of international economic relations in Azerbaijan.
