Mekhdiev Tural Elshad  (postgraduate, Kutafin Moscow State Law University)

The article discusses the model of ensuring the rule of law in the digital space in China through the prism of the primacy of state ideology at the heart of the policy of regulating the digital space, as well as strict state control. A list of regulations designed to form the regulatory framework for the legal order of the digital space, as well as their characteristics, is given. The powers of China's central authority for regulating the digital space, the China Cyberspace Administration, are described. It highlights the desire to ensure the rule of law in the digital space, not only with the help of prohibitions and restrictions, but also through official propaganda. The consequences of the imperative nature of regulation are noted, including in the form of citizens overcoming restrictions in the digital space. The conclusion is made about the discrepancy between the established model of ensuring the rule of law in the digital space in China with the democratic principles of pluralism of opinions and the absence of an official ideology.
