EXTRAJUDICIAL PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE PAYER OF ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS, CHARGEBACK PROCEDURE

The rapid introduction of the Internet into everyday reality, changes the usual way of life. Today you can go shopping, go to the cinema, restaurant or even to work without getting up from the sofa, we will also pay for everything through online ticket offices. But just as with real money, you can run into unscrupulous sellers, you can also run into fraudsters with online payments, and in this case the world community has come up with a transparent mechanism to protect customers of its banks, the chargeback procedure. The purpose of the article is to analyze the little-known procedure of chargeback, as well as to compare it with similar mechanisms of domestic law. The methodological basis consists of general scientific methods of cognition, private scientific methods, formal logical methods. In the course of the work done, the authors came to the conclusion that chargeback is an underestimated and promising way to protect the right. The relevance of the article is expressed by the fact that the chargeback procedure is little known on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as by the fact that this procedure is not legally marked in any way. The scientific novelty of the article is expressed by the low illumination of the chargeback topic.
