IMPLEMENTATION OF NON-FINANCIAL INDICATORS AS PART OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ESG PRINCIPLES

The research article is devoted to the study of the issue of non-financial indicators implementation within the framework of ESG principles implementation in Russian companies. In the course of the research it was established that the practice of non-financial indicators application in Russia within the framework of ESG principles implementation is only emerging, and it is strongly influenced by the state regulators represented by the Ministry of Economic Development and VEB.RF State Corporation, as well as by the concentration of efforts in the oil and gas and energy industries. The scientific novelty of the publication is the model developed by the author of the connection between corporate priorities (emphases) in the implementation of ESG principles and the choice of non-financial indicators, which allows to popularise ESG practice for a larger number of businesses, including SMEs.
