The article examines the theoretical aspects of the formation and functioning of regional entrepreneurial ecosystems, with an emphasis on their role in economic development in both international and Russian practice. Various methodological approaches to the analysis of entrepreneurial ecosystems are explored. Particular attention is paid to the systematization of existing foreign and domestic authorial approaches to the formation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Key factors in the formation of regional entrepreneurial ecosystems are analyzed. The results of the study can be useful for researchers and entrepreneurs seeking to create more effective conditions for business development at the regional level.
