The article examines the problem associated with a certain contradiction that arises and intensifies between, on the one hand, the continuous complication of social relations, and, on the other hand, the structure of the current law as a fundamental regulator of such relations that does not correspond to this development. First of all, we are talking about the fact that the dynamics of social relations dictates the publication of an increasing number of normative legal acts in various spheres of socio-political and socio-economic life, many of which currently in the Russian legal system do not fit into the structural structure of law accepted by the legal community, determined by the triad "norm-institution-branch". Here the key classification criterion is the branch of law. As the number of normative legal acts increases, a more detailed differentiation of branches of law occurs and, accordingly, their number also increases. But such an increase cannot be infinite, since in this case the effectiveness of law enforcement decreases, and a more perfect structure of law is required. The author's proposals are substantiated, in particular, it is proposed to transform the specified triad of law formation "norm-institution-branch" into a tetrad "norm-institution-branch-integral", where the integral of law will cover a group of remaining independent branches within the framework of the subject of regulation by the integral of law.
