The subject of analysis in this paper is the basic discussion concepts related to the upcoming digitalization of criminal justice in Russia and, accordingly, the introduction of a “digital judge” notion into the national justice system. As a result, the main conflicts are offered for discussion, which can objectively arise during the implementation of the key vectors of the above-mentioned “reforms”, as well as the real demand for and potential effectiveness of the discussed innovations.
