THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN UNIFYING LEGAL STANDARDS AND OVERCOMING LEGAL PLURALISM

Korovyakovsky Denis Gennadevich  (Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Russian State University for the Humanities )

Romanova Marina Evgenievna  (PhD in Law, Associate professor of Taxes and Tax Administration Chair, Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation )

The article is devoted to exploring the impact of globalization on the integration of legal norms and the challenges that national legislation faces amid intensified international interaction. Within its structure, the authors analyze the interplay between global and local legal systems, highlighting the contradictions between the universalization of standards and the preservation of national legal identity. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the topic, linked to the transformation of the role of states under the influence of international organizations (WTO, ILO, IMF) and the necessity of harmonizing legislation. In the "Materials and Methods" section, the study is based on a comparative legal analysis, the examination of international treaties, and cases from state practices that demonstrate conflicts between national and supranational norms. The research results reveal the dual nature of globalization processes: on one hand, they stimulate the modernization of legal systems by introducing international standards in the areas of human rights, intellectual property, and ecology; on the other hand, they provoke conflicts with cultural traditions and sovereignty. Special attention is given to the roles of transnational corporations, migration processes, and digital technologies, which complicate legal regulation. The discussion emphasizes the need for a balance between integration and the protection of national interests, as well as the role of "hybrid" legal models that combine global norms with local characteristics. The conclusions of the article indicate that there is no universal solution for reconciling global and national legal systems. The authors note that states are forced to selectively adapt international standards, taking into account socio-economic and cultural realities to avoid isolation or internal conflicts. Prospects for development are seen in strengthening intercultural dialogue, improving the mechanisms for norm implementation, and increasing the role of "soft law" in the form of ethical codes and expert initiatives.
