Aliev A. A.  (Postgraduate student The State University of Management (Moscow) )

The article examines the features of stimulating managerial personnel based on motivation theories. Key concepts are considered, including A. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, D. McClelland's theory of acquired needs, F. Herzberg's two-factor model, as well as procedural theories (expectations, fairness, goal setting). Special attention is paid to the adaptation of these theories to management personnel, whose motivational structure differs from ordinary employees. It has been revealed that autonomy, recognition, strategic achievements and influence on organizational processes are critically important for management personnel. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed for the development of effective incentive systems for management personnel that combine tangible and intangible incentives.
