The article is devoted to topical issues of coordinating the activities of public authorities in the prevention and prevention of offenses. The analysis of the ways of organizing coordination bodies in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region in the field under study is carried out. Attention is focused on the issues on the agenda of the coordination meetings on crime prevention, as well as the bodies carrying out this activity. The indicators of the crime rate in the specified subjects of the Russian Federation are reflected. As an element of the article that has signs of scientific novelty, the authors proposed to identify the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation as the sole coordinator of work on the prevention and prevention of offenses and crimes.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the existing ways of coordinating the prevention and prevention of offenses in order to eliminate disagreements and legal uncertainty in this matter.
