The article examines current problems of legal regulation of scientific and technological development at the regional level in the context of the federal structure of Russia. Contradictions between federal and regional legislation are analyzed, gaps in the delimitation of powers are identified. Special attention is paid to the impact of the quality of legal regulation on the socio-economic growth of the subjects of the Federation. Specific measures are proposed to improve legislation to achieve the country's technological sovereignty.
