Kalman filter adjustment for estimation of the SINS azimuth error

The method of automatic searching for the input noise covariance matrix is considered to obtain a qualitative estimate of the SINS azimuth error using the Kalman filter. A search algorithm is synthesized and a detailed descrip-tion of its implementation in practice is given. As measurements, the differ-ences in the projections of the speed of the SINS relative to the signals of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) are used. The results of testing the method in the simulation of the flight of the aircraft are given.
