Characteristics and clinical value of accompanying pathology in patients with colon polyps

In patients with single and multiple colon polyps, comorbidity of mild degree prevails. The high prevalence of modifiable factors of cardiovascular risk is established; 40% of patients have a high and very high risk of developing fatal cardiovascular events. 64% of those enrolled in the study have an average and high risk of developing colon cancer; 43% of men have a high degree of conjugation of cardiovascular and cancer risks.
