Impression materials in prostheric dentistry

It is impossible to imagine the manufacture of any orthopedic construction without the use of impression materials. Quite a number of requirements are imposed on modern impression materials [1; 8; 9]: hydrophilicity, thixotropy, biocompatibility, ability to recover the volume after deformation, dimensional stability, and ease of operation. In work 3 main groups of impression materials are considered: firm; thermoplastic (thermoplastics); elastic (elastomers).
