Modern representatives of cytoprotective therapy in medical practice

The article is devoted to a new direction in the medical practice of comorbid pathology — the use of cytoprotective and antioxidant drugs. The mechanisms of intracellular development of tissue hypoxia and ischemia, oxidative stress, as well as methods of their correction with drugs are considered in detail. The classification of cytoprotectors with a more detailed consideration of the first group, where the main mechanism is oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction.
