Present trend in syphilitic infection

The aim of the study. To describe the present course of syphilitic infection basing on University clinics data. Materials and methods. Studying 1600 case histories of syphilis-positive patients. Results. Retrospective analysis of cases since 2007 demonstrates that starting from 2015 late forms of syphilis tend to increase. In most cases late forms of syphilis are presented with neurosyphilis and cardiovascular syphilis. Spearman rank correlation for the period between 2007 and 2017 demonstrates the straight-line correlation (rs=0,9 when p=0,01) between late forms of syphilis and late neurosyphilis. Conclusion. During recent years early and late forms of neurosyphilis and syphilitic lesions of cardiovascular system tend to increase in Moscow.
