Perspective systems of megalopolises traffic flows monitoring

Touched upon the problem of megacities traffic congestion, its influence on the development of city infrastructure is analyzed, the most promising methods and systems of traffic flows monitoring are proposed to reduce traffic congestion, the measuring systems based on satellite navigation system, on RFID tags and on digital panoramic video images are discussed, a comparative analysis of the specified systems is provided, their advantages and disadvantages are identified, a set of recommendations in relation to the construction of the measuring system is given.
