Treatment of Images in Face Recognition Systems

The problem of image processing in face recognition is of great importance, since it is directly related to the quality and uniqueness of identification of a particular person or group of faces. A significant part of the information that should be obtained from the processed material of visual images can be used for law enforcement agencies and other law enforcement agencies, nuclear cycle facilities, and key industrial facilities in the Russian Federation. In this paper, the main approaches to image processing in face recognition systems were considered. The characteristic of thermographic face recognition was presented as a method much more promising than the registration and recognition of images in the visible range. The most optimal approach is a combination of visual and thermal face recognition, which can significantly reduce the disadvantages of each of the methods for obtaining facial images.
