Issues of interaction between russian metallurgists and machine builders: problems and prospects

the article considers the difference between the interests of machine builders and metallurgists in Russia. It is noted that it is profitable for metallurgists to work for export and sell large batches that give maximum profit. On the other hand, machine builders need small batches of rolled products of the required cross-section that meet the necessary requirements for surface geometry and quality. To solve the problem of increasing GDP, it is necessary to promote the domestic producer of high-grade products by coordinating the actions of metallurgists with industry science and end users of their products, creating advantages for selling metal products in the domestic market in comparison with exports, as well as improving the quality and expanding the range of metal products.
