Objectives. To identify areas with increased metabolic activity in installed dental implants during positron emission tomography with FDG-F18. Methods. Analyzed PET-CT grams of 2846 patients of the department of radionuclide diagnostics. The intensity of the accumulation of fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) radiopharmaceutical (RP) in the area of dental implants was assessed. Results. In 29% (825 people), diffuse RP hyperfixation around the prostheses was observed. In 12% (342 people) - focal hyperfixation. In 59% of cases (1679 patients), pathological RFP hyperfixation in the projection of dental implants was not visualized. Conclusions. Radiopharmaceutical accumulation in the projection of dental implants may indicate the presence of chronic inflammation in the implantation area.
