Agency specificity in the management of personnel of a modern enterprise

The article considers the concept of ageism, highlights its main types, studies the phenomenon of professional ageism on the example of the Russian and European states. According to various sources of information, it has been established that anti-discrimination laws are in place in many countries to combat ageism in the workplace - in particular, seven countries such as the United States, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and South Korea. There are also positive aspects of the phenomenon - when professional requirements are of fundamental importance or when it comes to hiring minors. Various studies are reflected, which have revealed confirmation of the negative impact of ageism on the health of the elderly. A study by the Federal State Statistics Service at the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century brought out numerical statistics on the topic of ageism. So the average age of a citizen of the Russian Federation employed in the economy approached 39.9 years. In the country's economy, more than 75.5 million people are middle-aged employees, but over the past five years, the number of workers aged 30 to 49 has decreased from 53% to 50.9%. At the same time, the number of age groups increased from 24 to 29 years old and from 50 to 60 and older. In this connection, the fight against the phenomenon becomes even more urgent.
