Risk factors of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome associated with ovarian stimulation

Assisted reproductive technologies are currently developing especially rapidly. The main reason is the increasing frequency of infertil, according to statistics in Russia, from 15% to 19% of infertile couples, that is, approximately every sixth. One of the stages of the in vitro fertilization procedure is the stimulation of superovulation, the main goal of which is to obtain a larger number of oocytes, to maximize IVF outcomes. Such an intrusion into the natural processes of follicle maturation is fraught with the development of complications. One of the complications of ovarian induction is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
