The widespread use of minimally invasive surgical technologies in the treatment of various abdominal pathologies has significantly increased the quality of modern surgical care. Historically, it all began with the introduction of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LCE), which quickly extended the benefits of the minimally invasive principle to emergencies and “burdened” patient populations.
