Clinical case of lightning-fast odontogenic sepsis accompanied by agranulocytosis and acute respiratory failure

The article discusses a clinical case of a fatal outcome of a patient with lightning-fast odontogenic sepsis on the background of acute respiratory failure and severe leukopenia. Agranulocytosis is an unfavorable prognostic factor that makes it possible to establish a high probability of death. Timely and continuous assessment of critical organ systems is needed: respiratory and cardiovascular, monitoring of blood gas composition and other indicators of homeostasis for the implementation of successful resuscitation measures and ensuring the patency of the upper respiratory tract.
