Brain tumors are leading in prevalence among childhood cancers, with a high mortality rate of 0.7-0.8 per 100,000. The most frequent types of brain tumors in children include neuroepithelial neoplasms (NEOs). According to different authors, they account for up to 90% of cases in childhood. This clinical case demonstrates the catastrophic course of a brain tumor in a 9-year-old child with the debut in the form of status epilepticus and relapse of clinical symptoms manifested by repeated epileptic status. Despite surgical treatment, cytostatic and radiation therapy, the disease was characterized by a long asymptomatic period and rapid development, which led to the lethal outcome 1 year after the clinical debut.
