Statistics and systematics of odontogenic inflammatory diseases taking into account background somatic pathology (literature review)

The article is devoted to the review of literature data on the prevalence of inflammatory diseases of odontogenic etiology developing in the presence of background somatic multiple organ pathology of internal organs. Patients with odontogenic sepsis are characterized by an increase in the prevalence of liver diseases and chronic alcoholism in comparison with the local form of odontogenic infection. In patients with a local form, a statistically significant predominance of diseases of the cardiovascular system should be noted. Respiratory pathology, diseases of the endocrine, urinary, digestive systems and liver are less often diagnosed.
