IDENTIFICATION OF TRAFFIC FLOW CHARACTERISTICS BASED ON DATA RECORDED BY MEANS OF PHOTO AND VIDEO RECORDING OF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENSES

This article presents the results of an applied study of the traffic flow on one of the sections of the highway in the city of Irkutsk with the installed means of photo and video recording of administrative offenses. The analysis of the obtained data made it possible to reveal the time dependences of the intensity of the traffic flow, as well as the statistical characteristics of the frequency distribution of vehicle speeds at the studied boundary. The results of the statistical analysis of the traffic situation will make it possible to identify the essential patterns necessary for the formation of a mathematical model for describing the traffic flow.
