READINESS OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL AND NATURAL SCIENCE AREAS OF PREPARATION FOR TRAINING USING THE 4C/ID MODEL: QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

The purpose of the study is to build an interpreted regression model demonstrating the dependence of students' readiness to study using the 4C/ID model (Four-Component Instructional Design) and its modifications on factors associated with the main difficulties that, according to experts, arise in training on this model. As a result of a qualitative survey of specialists using a semi-structured interview, a cognitive graph was formed, demonstrating the factors of influence (and their significance) on the readiness of students to study using the 4C/ID model. The cognitive graph made it possible to identify the main difficulties that may arise in students undergoing training using the 4C/ID model. Based on the cognitive graph, a guide was compiled for a quantitative survey of students of various courses and areas of preparation. Descriptive statistics were performed to visualize the data. Within the framework of the study, methods of qualitative and quantitative research, mathematical methods of statistical analysis of data were used. The analysis identified influential variables and constructed interpretable linear regression models as well as polynomial models using Rstudio. All constructed models were tested for adequacy using different statistical criteria. The significance of the study is that it makes it possible to determine the dependence of students' readiness to study according to the 4C/ID model and various factors associated with changes in the educational process. In addition, the results of the study can be used in the development of new methods of training and organization of the education system.
