SENSORLESS METHODS FOR DETERMINING THE MECHANICAL PARAMETERS OF A HYBRID STEPPER MOTOR

In this paper, a scientific review of the literature on the subject of sensorless determination of the mechanical parameters of a stepper motor is made. The methods presented in these works can be divided into two groups according to the method of determining the mechanical parameters: by measuring the back-EMF and by using the Kalman filter. The methods were analyzed, their advantages and disadvantages were determined, and the possibility of detecting the phenomenon of skipping steps was revealed. The literature review showed that there is no universal method capable of determining all the mechanical parameters of a stepper motor, including when the motor is running with accelerations.
