This article examines modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs. The most effective diagnostic methods are ultrasound, along with physical examination and laboratory research methods. Empiric antibiotic therapy is effective in treatment. It has been determined that the bulk of research is aimed at studying the diagnostic criteria for inflammatory diseases. Modern approaches to therapy showing clinical effectiveness have not been sufficiently studied.
