ASSESSMENT OF RISK FACTORS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERI-IMPLANTITIS

The article is devoted to the analysis and assessment of risk factors contributing to the development of periimplantitis, one of the most significant complications in dentistry associated with dental implants. Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory process that affects the tissues around the dental implant, which can lead to its loss. The importance of the study is due to the growing use of dental implants and the need to minimize the risks associated with them. The article presents a review of the literature and the results of the authors' own research aimed at identifying the main factors influencing the development of peri-implantitis. Special attention is paid to such aspects as the quality and condition of the implant, individual characteristics of patients (for example, oral hygiene, general health, smoking, concomitant diseases), as well as technical and clinical aspects of implantation. The authors present a systematic approach to risk assessment, offering recommendations for the prevention and early detection of peri-implantitis. This work not only expands the understanding of the mechanisms of peri-implantitis development, but also offers practical solutions for clinicians in the field of dental implantology. The article will be useful for both experienced dental implantologists and novice specialists seeking to improve the quality of treatment and reduce the incidence of complications when using dental implants.
