APPLICATION OF VASAPROSTAN IN DENTISTRY IN DIABETES MELLITUS

The article presents experience of the use of an angioprotector, prostaglandin E1 - Vazaprostan in the form of an injection into the gum with dental diseases, in patients with diabetes mellitus. The material of the study was 58 patients with diabetes mellitus, who applied for dental diseases. The patients were divided into two groups. In the first (control) group, which included 28 patients, standard therapy and surgical manipulations were performed depending on the dental disease. In the second (main) group, in addition to the standard treatment, the injection of the angioprotectant Vasaprostan into the gum is done according to the scheme at an average therapeutic dose. In the first group, against the background of complications of the underlying disease (diabetes mellitus), in 7 (25%) patients the treatment was not effective and 11 teeth were removed. In the second group, in connection with pronounced osteoporosis and weakening of the ligamentous apparatus of the causative tooth, one tooth was removed. Based on the results obtained, the relevant conclusions are drawn.
