Representations of modern Chinese about Russia and Russian people

The article presents the results of an empirical study, the purpose of which was to study the ideas of the Chinese about modern Russia and the Russian people. The research method is a questionnaire survey of Chinese permanently residing in China, conducted in May 2018. Analyzing the survey results, the authors note that the relationship between Russia and China has a positive effect on the external and internal image of Russia and the Russian people of a new historical period. An important role in obtaining information about Russia is played by the Chinese Internet, television, studies in Russia, etc. The authors conclude that modern Chinese have a completely new understanding of Russia and the Russian people, which is becoming deeper and more objective.
