This work is devoted to the study of issues related to the development of personal, including volitional, qualities of gifted children through tutoring support. The documents regulating the need for an individual approach to the development of the personality of students and work with gifted children were studied and analyzed. The work contains the definition of the concept of "gifted child."
The basic volitional qualities of the child are also defined, among which are discipline, independence, perseverance, endurance, organization, determination and initiative. In addition, the resources of tutoring activities were studied: specialized camps, special laboratories and rooms, thematic manuals, expeditions, and an abundance of tracking methods.
Various methods of working with gifted children are described, such as practice-oriented activities, problem-based learning; methods of active learning, analysis and introspection; methods of independent work of students; as well as design and psych diagnostic methods.
