Modern art-therapy methods in psychological advice: prospects of practical application

The article is devoted to the study of promising areas of application of art therapy methods in psychological counseling. The author, using the method of analyzing literary sources, highlighted the definition of psychological counseling, considered the current situation in relation to the population requests for the help of a specialist in difficult life situations. Particular attention is paid to the term art therapy and the historical formation of its content. The main modern methods of art therapy are highlighted; the perspective and the positive aspects of their use in psychological counseling are defined.
